Mission Creek Metal is a small jewelry brand that crafts unique handmade metal jewelry. They specialize in custom designs and using flower petals to create personal pieces to commemorate meaningful events or people. This brand is based in Montana and the metalsmith owner has a special love for all things Montana and wildflowers.
Using the jewelry products and state wildflowers as inspiration, I made a logo and visual identity that reflected the company's handmade values.
The full logo features fleabane, a wildflower native to Montana. Using this flower as a guide, I created rough sketches, carved a linocut print, and then refined the symbol by digitizing as seen in the process images below.
Colors were taken from the original wildflower, and modified to accommodate the needs of the brand. The owner's love for lavender, green, and browns were taken into account.
